Bibbiano – Vigne di Montornello 2014 – Chianti Classico Gran Selezione

The nose is fruity, elegant, straight, aromatic and offers a beautiful density. It reveals notes of blackberry, wild berries, ripe Bigarreau cherry and redcurrant combined with hints of wood, black olive, discreet hints of flowers as well as a subtle hint of sage and spices. The palate is fruity, well-balanced and offers a beautiful acid frame, a beautiful finesse, a beautiful straightness, a beautiful freshness, a nice fat, a fine minerality as well as a nice roundness and density. On the palate this wine expresses notes of juicy blackberry, fresh raspberry, ripe black berries and a hint of fresh redcurrant combined with subtle touches of Bigarreau cherry, black olive, garrigue as well as an imperceptible touch of sage, spices and toasted oak. There is a very discreet hint of mocha on the finish.
