Château Bastor-Lamontagne 2020, Sauternes

(Organic) On the nose, fresh, fruity and offers a certain gourmandize, a fine concentration as well as a good definition, a certain purity of fruit. It reveals notes of bursting kumquat, candied peach and more lightly quince associated with hints of flowers, verbena as well as fine touches of sophisticated minerality, a discreet hint of honey, acacia, a subtle waft of elderflower and spice/almond. On the palate, fruity and offers gourmandize, roundness, richness while mastering, a nice freshness as well as a certain tension, a good definition of the fruit, richness and a fine syrupy side. The wine expresses notes of candied lemon, quince and more slightly candied peach associated with touches of crushed apple, pineapple in syrup as well as fine hints of honeysuckle, acacia, honey, an imperceptible touch of lime and fresh hazelnut. Good length. A nice persistence with a waft of candied/syrupy apricot and almond.
