ASI World’s Best Sommelier Competition: Pascaline Lepeltier will represent France in Lisbon in 2026

The selection of the French candidate for the Lisbon 2026 World Cup took place this Tuesday, September 16, at 8:30 a.m., at KEDGE Business School Paris. Three candidates were expected: Pascaline Lepeltier, Bastien Debono, and Florent Martin.

After a series of demanding tests designed by David Biraud and Romain Iltis, co-directors of the French sommelier team, Pascaline Lepeltier was chosen to represent France in the Best Sommelier of the World competition. Florent Martin will be her alternate.

Meanwhile, the French team—comprised of Pascaline Lepeltier (MOF & MSF 2018), Florent Martin (MSF 2020 & MOF 2023), Philippe Troussard (MOF 2015), and Bastien Debono (MSF 2014) continues its rigorous preparation. She will be in Lyon in November, then in Armenia in spring 2026, in order to perfect her training for the Portuguese event.
