The Saint-Émilion Harvest Festival Returns for a Fourth Edition Celebrating Sharing and Great Wines
On 10 and 11 October 2026, the Saint-Émilion Grands Crus Classés will welcome wine lovers for the fourth edition of the Harvest Festival. Far more than a traditional wine tourism event, this immersive weekend invites visitors to experience the harvest season alongside the men and women who shape one of the world’s most prestigious wine regions.
Over two days, 45 Saint-Émilion Grands Crus Classés will open the doors of their estates, offering an extensive programme designed to showcase the many facets of the appellation. Guided walks through the vineyards, château and underground quarry tours, wine workshops, gastronomic experiences and exclusive meetings with winemakers will punctuate this autumn celebration. The event aims not only to highlight the wines themselves but also the cultural, historical and architectural heritage of Saint-Émilion, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
The 2026 programme perfectly reflects the diversity of experiences on offer. Visitors will be able to take part in a Merlot blending workshop, discover the principles of biodynamic viticulture, explore wine and chocolate pairings or wine and cheese pairings, attend vertical tastings, and join activities focusing on biodiversity in the vineyard. Other experiences will showcase traditional craftsmanship through demonstrations by the Compagnons du Devoir, while history enthusiasts can enjoy guided tours led by historian and archaeologist David Souny, offering a fascinating insight into the region’s remarkable past.
Gastronomy will also play a central role throughout the weekend with a series of intimate 
winemakers’ lunches hosted by participating estates. Each château has developed its own original concept, ranging from tastings of mature vintages and prestigious verticals to “Wine & Beef” pairings, a gourmet brunch celebrating the acclaimed 2016 vintage, a menu inspired by traditional Parisian bouillons, and a lunch dedicated to mushrooms and truffles. These exclusive gatherings will provide guests with the opportunity to exchange directly with estate owners and technical teams while discovering the many expressions of Saint-Émilion Grands Crus Classés. The highlight of this fourth edition will once again be the traditional Dîner de la Gerbaude, held on Saturday evening at Château Dassault. Rooted in Bordeaux’s long-standing harvest traditions, this festive dinner celebrates the new vintage around one large convivial table where the wines of all 45 participating Grands Crus Classés will be served exclusively in magnums. More than simply a dinner, the Gerbaude embodies the true spirit of the Harvest Festival, bringing together winemakers and visitors in an atmosphere of generosity, conviviality and shared passion for great wine.
With this fourth edition, the Association des Grands Crus Classés de Saint-Émilion once again demonstrates its commitment to bringing wine enthusiasts closer to the people behind these exceptional estates while showcasing the unique identity of the appellation.
