28th edition of the Loire Valley Wines Trade Fair
A Wines Trade Fair exclusively for wine professionals
From Monday 3rd to Wednesday 5th February 2014, Angers Exhibition Centre will host the 28th edition of the Loire Valley Wines Trade Fair. With some 550 exhibitors expected, the Loire Valley Wines Trade Fair remains the number one event in the Loire. The objective is to develop its professional dimension, helped by the Interprofessional Wine Associations in the Loire Valley. Herewith an overview of what’s new for 2014.
Today, the Loire Valley Wines Trade Fair, along with the support of the Interprofessional Wine Associations of the Loire Valley, is one of the most important wine events in Europe. Focused exclusively on wines produced in the Loire valley area (the third largest producer of AOP classified wines in France), this event brings together some 550 exhibitors from the Loire Valley and 9,000 French and foreign buyers.
The Loire Valley Wines Trade Fair is setting out its new international ambition by hosting delegations of foreign buyers to attend one to one meetings in the vineyards overlooking the trade fair. Buyers can, of course, also meet at the venue during the second part of the event. Also in 2014, the “Loire Free Wine Tasting Area” stand concept will be exported and promoted internationally as a unique showcase for the Loire Valley Wines Trade Fair. Two International Trade Fairs have now been confirmed: Prowein (in Dusseldorf) and the London Wine Trade Fair Other events will follow in late 2014.
To appeal to wine lovers even more, the 28th edition is set for a mini-revolution in the design and layout of the Trade Fair so as to encourage exhibitors to return. For wine estates, a simplified “stand-free covered table” package is offered for first-time exhibitors in a dedicated area at an attractive price. Two new offers have also been developed for wine traders who now have the option of becoming genuine partners of the Trade Fair with direct dedicated communication and marketing tools which will offer them targeted and increased visibility over time as well as increasing their reputation.
The objective of this expansion of the Loire Valley Wines Trade Fair is clearly defined as attracting new visitors.
Finally everything has been planned at the Trade Fair so as to promote exchanges and good working conditions. The Free Wine Tasting Area, which was a resounding success last year, is going to be continued and further expanded with the development of a mobile website allowing visitors to access information about the wines on offer. Evening events at the venue and in town will also bolster the friendly environment of the Trade Fair.
