More than €120,000 will be dedicated to funding social projects and innovation initiatives in viticulture and winemaking.
In 2023, Penfolds announced its commitment of one million Australian dollars (AUD) over five years to the Evermore Grant Program, which spans multiple territories worldwide.
The Penfolds Evermore project will officially launch in France on Monday, February 10, 2025.
Following numerous collaborations and initiatives in France, particularly in Bordeaux and Champagne, Penfolds has chosen France as the home for its new Evermore patronage program.
Penfolds Evermore was initiated in Australia in 2024 and garnered over 80 applications, enabling four projects to share AUD 200,000 to bring their ideas to fruition.
The Evermore France patronage program invites applications from individuals, companies, social organizations, non-profits, and educational and research institutions. Projects must align with two categories:
– Social projects: Initiatives aimed at fostering social connections, particularly through cultural endeavors.
– Viticulture and winemaking projects: Initiatives contributing to new approaches, ideas, or innovations supporting a resilient and prosperous wine industry.
Applications for the Evermore France grant program will open on Monday, February 10, and close on Sunday, April 20. Winners will be announced in June 2025.
Submissions can be made in French or English and will be evaluated based on their compliance with the program’s guidelines and selection criteria. Shortlisted applications will be reviewed by a jury comprising Penfolds representatives from across the globe and France, alongside an external French jury from the wine industry.
“Our patronage program allows us to encourage innovation and growth in the wine world while supporting connections within the communities where we operate. This is our way of giving back, creating positive change, and leaving a lasting impact. With an evolving industry and a constantly changing climate, we hope to see projects supporting sustainability, innovation, and community resilience in France.”
— Shauna Bastow, Penfolds Viticulturist
Evermore, Penfolds’ first social and environmental platform, reflects its aspirations as a producer, employer, and leader in leaving a positive footprint on the places, communities, and individuals it interacts with.
Reflecting Penfolds’ heritage and values, the Evermore program complements the broader social and environmental responsibility strategy of Treasury Wine Estates, focusing on areas intrinsically tied to Penfolds’ DNA.
“After the success of our inaugural program in Australia, we are thrilled to introduce it in France. Evermore reflects our ambition to honor our history while creating a legacy designed to have a positive impact on the future. As we continue to grow in the region, it is important that we give back to the communities that support us.”
— Kristy Keyte, Chief Marketing Officer, Penfolds
