Vinitaly 2026: Success for Vertdevin’s Pinot Noir Masterclass, Combining a Comparative Approach with International Reach.
On Tuesday, April 14, 2026, in collaboration with Vinitaly International, Vertdevin hosted the masterclass “The Many Faces of Pinot Noir: A Comparative Masterclass.”
The event, which sold out online in the days leading up to it, welcomed over 50 participants
, confirming the strong interest in both the topic and the international publication. The audience included industry professionals, buyers, journalists, and wine enthusiasts from around the world.
This marked the first active collaboration between Vertdevin and Vinitaly: after years of participating as an exhibitor, the publishing house is now entering a new phase of its presence at the fair. This debut signals the beginning of a series of joint initiatives and events aimed at developing in-depth content and comparative tastings on an international scale.
Through this masterclass, Vertdevin reaffirms its ambition to establish itself as a leading editorial voice, offering formats that blend expertise, education, and comparative exploration of major international terroirs.
The masterclass, held in the Orchidea Room at Palaexpo, was led by journalist and Vertdevin contributor Erika Mantovan, an international wine expert, who guided participants through a comparative journey across four Pinot Noir terroirs: Piedmont (Italy), Burgundy (France), Oregon (USA), and Marlborough (New Zealand).
The format was designed to compare terroirs and winemaking styles through guided tastings and sensory analysis, offering a concrete and comparative exploration of the diverse expressions of Pinot Noir.
Wines tasted:
• Gian Luca Colombo – Langhe D.O.C. Pinot Noir 2024
• Armand Heitz – Pommard 1er Cru Pézerolles 2022
• Eola Springs Vineyard – Division Eola Amity 2022
• Schubert – Pinot Noir 2021

This initiative is part of a broader editorial and educational development program that will see Vertdevin play a leading role in upcoming international events throughout 2026.
