Zisola – Merlot 2019 – Sicilia IGT

The nose is fruity and spicy. There are notes of ripe raspberries, violets and, to a lesser extent, ripe wild berries, combined with hints of terroir, minerality and fine spices. The palate is fruity and offers suavity, juiciness, minerality, acidity, gourmandize, generosity and a flattering touch of Merlot, especially on the mid-palate. On the palate, this wine expresses notes of fresh blackberry, raspberry and, more slightly, violet, pulpy, fresh violet plums, with fine notes of lily, pepper as well as tonka bean and spice. Good length. Tannins are precise and supple. Fine power on the finish/persistence.
