The nose is aromatic, concentrated, well-built and slightly powerful. It reveals notes of crème de cassis, black cherry and slight touches of wild strawberry associated with discreet hints of redcurrant sweet, spices, toasted oak as well as a very subtle hint of vanilla. The palate is fruity, suave, well-built, well-balanced, racy, fine, concentrated and offers tension, a slight acid frame, a slight freshness as well as minerality. In the mouth this wine expresses notes of blackberry cream, cassis and small woody touches, vanilla, spices as well as subtle hints of pepper, chocolate, licorice and an imperceptible hint of caramelization. Tannins are slightly firm, a bit tight and slightly dusty. Nice persistence (with a hint of chocolate).
