Waldschütz Winzer Grüner Veltliner Eiswein – Niederösterreich – 2021

The wine has a lemon-yellow color of medium intensity. The nose is fruity and pure, it expresses notes of fresh quince, peach in syrup, yellow nectarine, sweet pineapple, candied lemon and lime zest, passion fruit, a touch of grape fresh, as well as white flowers (apple blossom, acacia), fresh grass (in the background) and delicate touches of spices (white pepper and a very subtle note of ground cumin). On the palate, the wine is lively, precise and fragrant. It offers notes of stone fruit (fresh peach and in syrup, candied apricot), candied lemon zest, lime jam, quince jelly, fresh passion fruit and dried papaya, as well as slightly sweet floral touches (apple blossom, orange blossom). Nice length in the mouth with candied citrus notes. A concentrated, rich and at the same time refined and balanced wine, thanks to a high acidity. Purity, freshness and depth.
