Vinson Denis & Fils, Cuvée Charles Joseph, Vinsobres 2020

The wine has a ruby color of medium intensity with purplish reflections. The nose is expressive, rich, with pronounced notes of chocolate. It reveals notes of dark chocolate, chocolate prunes, mint chocolate, as well as notes of red and black fruits (fresh and dried raspberry, morello cherry, black plum, blackberry, strawberry), herbs (mint pepper, rosemary) and spices (licorice, clove, nutmeg, vanilla, cinnamon). On the palate, the wine is fresh and juicy. It expresses flavors of red cherry, raspberry, strawberry, morello cherry, blackberry and cassis, complemented by a touch of raspberry coulis and crème de cassis. Then, we find the freshness of peppermint, eucalyptus and the roundness of sweet spices (cinnamon, vanilla). The tannins are velvety and fine, but structured, and the finish is juicy and persistent, with notes of ripe sour cherry, mint chocolate and pepper. Good acidity and freshness on the finish, giving elegance to the wine and softening the alcohol level.
