Vinory, Barolo Bricco San Pietro 2020 – Barolo

Vinory, Barolo Bricco San Pietro 2020 – Barolo

The wine has a pale ruby color. The nose is juicy and gourmand, with a slight roasted and toasted hint. It expresses notes of ripe morello cherry, red cherry, blackberry, roasted red cherry, wild strawberry, and crushed raspberry, combined with notes of toasted hazelnut, chocolate, roasted bouquet garni, and a gourmet touch of cherry jam. After aeration, we also find notes of wild mint, fresh rosemary, peony, and fresh rose, as well as liquorice and crushed cardamom. The palate is straight, finely tightened, and luscious. It offers flavors of ripe raspberry, morello cherry, roasted red cherry, juicy red cherry, and a hint of cherry jam, as well as blackberry and blueberry. There is also a good bitterness of dried cranberries, coffee, and cocoa. On the mid-palate, the wine offers spicy flavors of liquorice, roasted coriander seeds, nutmeg, and crushed cardamom. Tannins are fine, polished, and well-built. The finish is mouthwatering and persistent, with delicate but distinct roasted notes (toasted hazelnut, toasted wood, cocoa), as well as dried mint, smoke, and tobacco.
