Vincent Ravaut – Les Dames Huguettes 2019 – Bourgogne Hautes-Côtes de Nuits

The nose is fruity and offers a fine intensity, a small spicy / peppery side as well as a fine and very finely tight grain. It reveals notes of violet, cherry and small notes of fleshy blackberry associated with touches of cherry blossoms, wild small fruits, fine hints of Sichuan pepper, sweet spices as well as a discreet hint of dried tobacco and an imperceptible hint of laurel berries. The palate is fruity, well-balanced and offers minerality, suavity, fat, a certain tension, a good definition, elegance, a fine straightness, a beautiful acidulous frame, a good finesse of the grain, fullness, roundness as well as a certain power. On the palate this wine expresses notes of bright cherry, bright raspberry and small notes of acidulous / juicy purple plum associated with small touches of crunchy raspberry, cornflowers, violet, licorice as well as fine hints of chocolate and with a subtle toasted hint. Tannins are well-built. Good length and persistence.
