Vignobles Raguenot, Symposium 2021 – Bordeaux Supérieur

(60% Merlot, 20% Cabernet Sauvignon, 10% Carménère, 10% Malbec) The wine has a deep ruby color. The nose offers freshness, concentration and juiciness. It expresses notes of strawberry, red cherry, morello cherry, blackcurrant, fresh raspberry, dried raspberry, red currant jelly and dried cranberries, combined with notes of integrated sweet spices (licorice, cloves, cumin, a hint of vanilla), dried mint, blackcurrant bud, violet and dried rose, as well as a hint of coffee and cocoa. The palate is gourmand, expressive and fruity. We find notes of strawberry, juicy raspberry, blackcurrant, blackberry, morello cherry, red cherry jam and red currant jelly., associated with notes of bitter chocolate, roasted cherry, dried mint, violet, dried rose, licorice, clove and coffee in the background. The tannins are firm, sapid and powdery, with a fine texture. The finish is quite persistent, warm, with notes of sweet spices (licorice, a touch of cinnamon, cloves). The acidity is supple, but quite fresh. A well-structured, fleshy and gourmand wine.
