Vignerons de Buxy – Millebuis 2016 – Mercurey 1er Cru

The nose is racy and offers a slight richness. It reveals notes of cassis, cassis bud / bud and crushed cherry associated with slight touches of red fruits as well as subtle touches of Zan / licorice as well as an imperceptible hint of rose. The palate is fruity, mineral, well-balanced, elegant, racy, silky and offers a nice mineral frame, tension, a slight freshness, a good definition as well as a very slight acidity (in the background). On the palate this wine expresses notes of red berries, cherry and slight touches of cassis associated with discreet touches of fresh raspberry, Zan, sweet spices and an imperceptible hint of rose / tobacco. Tannins are well-built. There are a very discreet hint of cocoa / tonka bean and a very discreet hint of vanilla on the persistence / aftertaste.
