Vignerons de Buxy – Les Clos Roussols 2020 – Maranges 1er Cru

The nose is aromatic with a certain gourmandise and a fine spiciness. There are notes of bright wild blackberries, small red berries and more slightly crunchy plums combined with hints of fresh blond tobacco and fine notes of sweet pepper. The palate is fresh, mineral, balanced with a nice energy. The structure is very fresh with a smoothness and a well-executed tannic structure that brings depth. There are notes of fresh crunchy cherries, fresh juicy purple plums and more slightly blueberries combined with hints of crunchy raspberries, lilies and a touch of chocolate, racy minerality and a fine note of dried toasted almond. Good length with discreetly marked tannins.
