Viberti Giovanni – Buon Padre 2014 – Barolo

Viberti Giovanni – Buon Padre 2014 – Barolo

The nose is fruity, elegant and offers a fine power/intensity as well as a beautiful finesse of the grain. It reveals notes of Gariguette strawberry, violet and small notes of blackberry associated with fine touches of liquorice stick, plum, cardamom as well as a hint of vanilla. The palate is fruity, mineral (racy minerality), well-balanced, well-built, racy, silky, gourmand and offers a good definition, elegance as well as a fine juicy/acidulous frame. On the palate this wine expresses notes of fleshy/juicy cherry, juicy plum and small notes of wild strawberry associated with small touches of violet as well as very fine touches of chocolate and discreet hints of vanilla (in the background). Tannins are well-built and very finely firm. Good length. There is a very discreet almost saline hint on the finish/persistence.
