The nose is elegant, fruity, complex and offers a small power/concentration. It reveals notes of zante currant , caramelized orange zests, dried kumquat and small notes of praline, lemon jam, strawberry jam associated with fine hints of cigar box, rancio, lemon tree flowers/ apple tree as well as discreet hints of violet, gray pepper, liquorice stick, a very discreet hint of pepper and an imperceptible hint of vanilla. The palate is fruity, well-balanced, elegant, well-built and offers richness, fat, suavity, a beautiful complexity, a very fine juiciness (in the background) as well as a beautiful acidulous frame. On the palate this Porto expresses notes of candied lemon, cristallized mandarin and small notes of caramelization/pâtisseries associated with touches of raspberry jam, prune, fig as well as small hints of rancio, crushed zante currant and very discreet hints of chocolate (in the background).
