This spirit has got a pale straw color, limpid and shiny. The first nose reminds of whisky. There are grains, iodine, vanilla and a smoky side. It’s quite intense. With air, some citrus fruits aromas appear like orange and lemon zest. The nose has got a nice freshness, tangy with yellow apple notes. The attack is about grains and smokiness of a light peat. We can taste apple, vanilla and also an undergrowth aroma which appears in the middle of the tasting. The finish is marked by salt with clear, powerful flavors of a new born whisky. There is a good balance with a bit of caramel and especially an aromatic long finish with shiitake mushrooms.
