Tyrrell’s wines – Shiraz 2013 – Hunter Valley

The nose is fruity, fine and quite concentrated. It reveals notes of cherry, wild red berries and cassis combined with a hint of flower / juniper, Ceylon tea, spices and a discreet hint of Sichuan pepper. The palate is fruity, mineral, fluid, silky, harmonious, well-balanced, fat, suave and offers a good volume. On the palate this wine expresses notes of juicy red fruit (raspberry, cherry), fine notes of redcurrant and blackberry combined with a touch of plum, slight notes of flowers, black tea as well as discreet notes spices, toasted oak and a discreet hint of vanilla / praline.
