The Yamazaki – Aged 18 Years – Single Malt Whisky

The nose is elegant, fine, charming and fruity. It reveals notes of dried fruit / woods, raisins and dried apricots associated with discreet hints of dried mandarin zest, dried flowers (peach flowers …) as well as a subtle hint of almond and an imperceptible hint of iodine / salinity. The palate is fruity, fine, fleshy, well-balanced and offers a beautiful definition and precision. On the palate this Whisky expresses notes of red apple compote, vine peach, blackberry and discreet hints of quenette combined with discreet hints of pâtisseries / caramelized brown sugar, dark chocolate, wood/oak and a subtle hint of lemon paste and spices. Good length.
