The Debate – Cabernet Sauvignon 2015, Beckstoffer Dr Crane – Napa Valley

The nose is aromatic, elegant, racy and offers power as well as a beautiful finesse of the grain. It reveals notes of cassis, blackberry and small notes of raspberry associated with small touches of gray pepper, flowers and spices. The palate is fruity, well-balanced, a bit tight and offers a good definition, a beautiful suavity, a small freshness, a racy minerality as well as a very beautiful structure. On the palate this wine expresses notes of black cherry, acidulous blackberry candy, fleshy wild strawberry and small notes of redcurrants combined with small / fine touches of licorice / Zan, tobacco, dark chocolate as well as discreet hints of crushed blueberry. Tannins are fine and structuring. Good persistence. There are an imperceptible hint of coffee and an imperceptible hint of dark chocolate on the finish / persistence.
