Tenuta Gorghi Tondi – Grillo D’Oro 2015 – IGP Sicilia

The nose is fruity, fresh and offers minerality. It reveals notes of crystallized mandarin, apricot and small notes of crystallized orange associated with slight hints of saffron as well as discreet hints of flowers, almonds (in the background) and spices. The palate is fruity, elegant, well-balanced, elegant, well-structured and offers tension, finesse as well as a small aerial side. On the palate this wine expresses notes of candied clementine, crystallized orange and small notes of candied apricot combined with slight hints of mango, jammy mirabelle plum as well as slight hints of honey, grilled almonds and an imperceptible hint of hazelnut (in the background). There are a very discreet mineral hint and an imperceptible hint of walnuts (in the background) on the finish / persistence. Good length and good persistence.
