Tenuta Ca ‘Botta – Cajo’ 2016 – Amarone della Valpolicella

The nose is fruity and offers a fine gourmandize as well as a fine richness. It reveals notes of crushed cassis, crushed blackberry, small notes of strawberry associated with fine touches of small concentrated black fruits as well as fine hints of violet, caramelization, dark chocolate, a subtle hint of brioche, a discreet hint of thyme and an imperceptible hint of balsamic. The palate is fruity, fresh, juicy, well-balanced, very finely tight and offers a good definition, gourmandize, a fine acidulous frame as well as a small tension and density. On the palate this wine expresses notes of crushed wild cassis, concentrated blackberry, small notes of crushed raspberry associated with small touches of black plum, violet, pulpy strawberry as well as hints of caramelization, chocolate, liquorice, a discreet hint of thyme and balsamic. Good length. Power and fine hints of cigar/toasted hazelnut on the persistence.
