Tasca d’Almerita – Rosso del Conte 2021 – Contea di Sclafani DOC

The nose is relatively tight, a little discreet and reveals a certain subtlety. There are notes of plum blossom, wild cherry and, to a lesser extent, violet plum, combined with hints of fleshy/ripe berries, fine nutmeg, sweet spices, as well as subtle hints of vanilla and a very discreet hint of pepper (in the background).  The palate is fruity, balanced and offers minerality, harmony, gourmandize, tension, definition, purity (of fruit) and precision. On the palate this wine expresses notes of plummy/juicy plum, fresh wild cherry small notes of plum blossom/wildflower combined with hints of ripe wild red berries and hints of light tobacco, vanilla and chocolate.
