Taittinger – Comtes de Champagne – Blanc de Blancs 2006 – Champagne

The nose is fruity, fresh, juicy and fine. It reveals beautiful notes of lemon, fresh tangerine, yellow grapes and slight touches of egg cream / meringue combined with a subtle hint of yellow fruit, candied fruits, white rose as well as a touch of green apple, brioche / pâtisseries and a very discreet hint of quenette. The palate is fruity, fine, dynamic and offers a beautiful acid frame, a beautiful tension, a beautiful structure, suavity as well as a beautiful precision. The effervescence is beautifully built, very fine, elegant and unctuous. On the palate this Champagne expresses notes of lemon, lime zests and yuzu / grapefruit combined with slight notes of apple, quenette, a very discreet / subtle hint of flowers and brioche. There are an imperceptible touch of honey and almond on the finish. Good persistence. Imperceptible hint of vanilla on the persistence.
