The nose is aromatic, gourmand and offers complexity, a small power and a fine grain. It reveals notes of crushed blueberry, cassis, small notes of liquorice associated with small touches of violet plum, crushed cherry as well as subtle hint of nutmeg, local copse/sense of the place, a discreet hint of black olive, camphor, black pepper and an imperceptible hint of coffee. The palate is fruity, mineral, well-balanced, racy and offers a beautiful definition, a good finesse of the grain. On the palate this wine expresses notes of pulpy/juicy cassis, juicy Boysen berry, small notes of juicy/pulpy raspberry associated with small touches of crushed blueberry, violet, lily as well as fine hints of pulpy/juicy cherry, sense of the place, tea, an imperceptible hint of rosemary and green pepper. Good length. Tannins are elegant, racy and structuring.
