Stag’s Leap Wine Cellars – Chardonnay 2015, Arcadia Vineyard – Napa Valley

The nose is fruity, elegant, well conducted and offers delicacy, a very slight freshness as well as a slight concentration. It reveals notes of ripe lemon, quince and small notes of zest associated with small touches of racy minerality (terroir / gravels) as well as a discreet hint of flowers, green apple skin and an imperceptible toasted touch (in the background / brings roundness). The palate is fruity, elegant, gourmande, well-built, precise and offers a beautiful suavity / delicacy, a slight acidulous frame, juiciness, a beautiful freshness as well as a beautiful definition. On the palate this wine expresses notes of quince, apple and small notes of Brugnon associated with slight touches of citrus, juicy kumquat, gravels / racy minerality as well as very discreet / imperceptible hints of vanilla / butter. Good length. Thereis a very discreet chews on the aftertaste.
