St Supéry – Cabernet Sauvignon 2013 – Rutherford – Napa Valley

The nose is fine, powerful, fruity and offers a slight intensity. It reveals notes of strawberry, cassis and wild berries associated with slight / discreet touches of flowers, blueberry as well as a very discreet hint of ripe bell pepper, crushed blackberry, wild strawberry, spices as well as subtle touches of cassis bud. The palate is fruity, well-balanced and offers juiciness, unctuosity, a slight acid frame, a slight tension, a slight straightness, a slight freshness, a beautiful tension as well as a beautiful acid frame. On the palate this wine expresses notes of crushed blackberry, juicy cassis and slight notes of red berries, juicy wild red fruits as well as subtle hints of liquorice, chocolate, a hint of wood and slight touches of cardamom. Good length. Beautiful persistence with touches of cocoa, cardamom and subtle touches of coffee / espresso.
