Spring Mountain Vineyard – Elivette 2012 – Napa Valley

The nose is powerful, well-balanced, generous and offers concentration. It reveals notes of crushed cassis, wild berries and blackberry jam combined with touches of wild strawberry, subtle / discreet hints of blueberry, a very discreet hint of liquorice, gray pepper (in the background) as well as an imperceptible hint of cornflower, toasted oak  and tobacco. The palate is fruity, well-balanced and offers a nice minerality, a beautiful definition / precision, complexity, a beautiful density, a certain finesse, richness, generosity, power (but well balanced) as well as a beautiful acid frame (in the background). On the palate this wine expresses notes of crushed blackberry, crushed cassis and slight / discreet touches of blueberry, raspberry associated with a subtle hint of plum, discreet touches of toasted oak as well as subtle touches of spices, cardamom, tobacco, chocolate, roasting and a very discreet hint of cassis bud (in the background). Tannins are slightly firm and young. Good length. Good potential! (2022)
