Spring Mountain Vineyard – Cabernet Sauvignon 2010 – Napa Valley

(Cabernet Sauvignon 76%, Merlot 10%, Petit Verdot 6% Cabernet Franc 5%, Malbec 3%) The nose is fruity, powerful, incisive and elegant. It reveals notes of boysenberry and cassis jam associated with fine notes of cherry, minerality / flint, flowers (cornflower, iris) and a hint of green bell pepper. The palate is fruity, mineral, aerial, well-balanced, racy and offers an acid frame, fat, freshness and juiciness. On the palate this wine expresses notes of blackberry, cherry, raspberry and a hint of redcurrant associated with small notes of strawberry, cassis as well as a hint of tobacco, chocolate and oak. Tannins are fine and supple.
