Simonnet-Febvre – Preuses 2019 – Chablis Grand Cru

The nose is fresh, racy and reveals a little crispness, a certain power of the terroir and good definition. There are notes of fresh quince, juicy/fresh nectarine and more lightly fresh physalis combined with a fine touch of lychee, pear and a very discreet hint of almost beeswax/chestnut butter. The palate is fruity, offering freshness, minerality, energy, good definition, harmony, energy, a nice freshness and a mineral/acidic structure. On the palate, this wine expresses notes of quince, sour/fresh yellow fruits and, more slightly, pulpy pear, combined with hints of lychee, a fine touch of physalis and discreet hints of fresh hazelnut/chestnut butter. Good length.
