Simonnet-Febvre – Paradis 2018 – Irancy

The nose is aromatic, fruity and offers freshness, a small power as well as a fine richness. It reveals notes of pulpy strawberry, pulpy blackberry and small notes of fleshy blue plum associated with touches of violet, lily, racy minerality as well as hints of camphor, nutmeg and a fine hint of pepper. The palate is fruity, well-balanced and offers a fine acidulous frame (beautiful acidity), juiciness, suavity, a certain gourmandize, a fine fat as well as a fine straightness. On the palate this wine expresses notes of pulpy / juicy cherry, crunchy raspberry and small notes of acidulous / juicy plum associated with touches of cornflowers, violet, hints of cocoa, local grove as well as slight hints of vanilla and a very discreet hint of pepper (in the background). Tannins are precise and well-built. Good length.
