Simonnet-Febvre – Montmains 2017 – Chablis Premier Cru

The nose is fruity, elegant and offers a beautiful finesse of the grain as well as gourmandise. It reveals notes of quince, ripe Williams pear and small notes of crushed peach associated with slight touches of citrus, a subtle hint of exotic fruit as well as very discreet hints of beeswax / almond and an imperceptible hint of flowers. The palate is fruity, well-balanced, beautifully racy and offers a good definition, juiciness, precision, gourmandise, a beautiful finesse of the grain as well as a juicy / acidulous frame. On the palate this wine expresses notes of ripe lemon, ripe kumquat and small notes of mirabelle plum associated with small touches of fleshy / juicy yellow fruits, slight hints of butter, beeswax as well as a subtle hint of minerality, yellow flowers and very slight toasted hints / vanilla. Good persistence with minerality and citrus fruits.
