Simonnet-Febvre 2018 – Irancy

The nose is fruity, very slightly tight and offers a fine firmness. It reveals notes of wild blackberry, pulpy strawberry and small notes of strawberry flowers associated with touches of fleshy small fruits, purple plum, plum blossoms as well as hints of zan, sweet spices, racy minerality as well as a hint of nutmeg and a very discreet hint of cinnamon. The palate is fruity, well-balanced, slightly tight and offers freshness, a good definition, suavity, a certain tension / straightness as well as a fine fat. On the palate this wine expresses notes of pulpy / juicy cherry, juicy / crunchy raspberry and small notes of juicy / fresh plum associated with touches of plum blossoms, cherry blossoms, violet, mocha, cardamom as well as a subtle hint of tobacco and racy minerality. Tannins are well-built. Good length.
