Sequoia Grove – Cabernet Sauvignon 2015, Winemaker Séries – Napa Valley

The nose is fruity and offers a small concentration, a small richness as well as a small power. It reveals notes of blackberry, crushed wild strawberry and small notes of crushed cassis combined with a discreet hint of raspberry, gray pepper and a discreet chocolate / toasted hint. The palate is fruity, mineral, well-balanced and offers a good definition, a slight juicy / acidulous frame, minerality, a slight suavity as well as a slight fat. On the palate this wine expresses notes of cassis, juicy blackberry and small notes of wild raspberry combined with slight hints of small fleshy / ripe red berries as well as slight hints of dark chocolate / tonka bean and an imperceptilbe hint of caramelization. Tannins are very slightly tight and discreetly dry. There are a toasted touch and a touch of dark chocolate on the finish / persistence.
