The nose is powerful and fruity. It reveals slight notes of fresh red fruits (strawberry, red berries) associated with slight hints of cassis, griotte, licorice as well as discreet hints of spices (pepper, nutmeg…) and stone/minerality. The palate is fruity (focus on the fruit), well-balanced and offers a beautiful juiciness, a good freshness as well as a certain unctuosity. In the mouth this wine expresses notes of fleshy strawberry, juicy cherry and slight notes of cassis associated with discreet hints of black cherry, hints of licorice, discreet toasted hints as well as slight touches of dark chocolate and caramelization/vanilla on the finish/persistence. Tannins are fine. There is a small touch of salin minerality on the finish, a slight touch of dark chocolate/toasted/vanilla on the persistence (that brings gourmandise) and a grilled hint on the aftertaste. Good persistence. An easy-drinking wine.
