Santos da Casa – Fazem Milagres, 2015 Reserva – Douro

The nose is fruity, slightly powerful and offers a small concentration as well as a small richness. It reveals notes of ripe red berries, ripe raspberry and small notes of cassis combined with touches of blackberry, ripe cherry, hints of chocolate / mocha, flowers, olive as well as very discreet toasted hints, pepper and a very discreet hint of nutmeg. The palate is fruity, juicy, well-balanced and offers good definition, juiciness, tension, dynamism as well as a good guideline. On the palate the wine expresses notes of juicy ripe blackberry, juicy ripe raspberry and a touch of juicy cassis associated with touches of blueberry, juicy red cherry as well as hints of mocha / tonka bean, sweet spices, vanilla, flowers, cardamom and caramelization. Tannins are fine, structuring and straight. Beautiful persistence. There is a very discreet hint of ripe / dried almond on the persistence.
