The nose is elegant, fine and offers power as well as delicacy. It reveals notes of fleshy blackberry, small wild berries and small notes of iris, Sichuan pepper associated with small touches of red cherry, crushed blueberry as well as discreet hints of spices, black pepper, racy minerality and a very discreet hint of almond. The palate is fruity, well-balanced and offers a good definition, a slight juiciness, a beautiful mineral frame (racy minerality), a small straightness, a good finesse of the grain, a good structure as well as a slight tension. On the palate this wine expresses notes of fleshy blackberry, crushed cassis and small notes of red berries, cherry associated with slight touches of flowers, cocoa, almond, nutmeg as well as a very discreet hint of blond tobacco. Tannins are a bit young, elegant and slightly firm.
