Saint James – Cuvée 1765, cuvée d’Exception – Rhum Vieux Agricole (Martinique)

The nose is aromatic, fresh and offers concentration as well as intensity. It reveals notes of Zante currants, quince and small notes of crystallized citrus, molasses associated with touches of sugar cane, brown sugar as well as very discreet hints of spices, nutmeg and a hint of sweet blond tobacco. The palate is fruity, well-balanced and offers suavity, fat, a small unctuosity, gourmandise, a small juiciness, a beautiful guideline as well as a beautiful finesse of the grain. On the palate, this Rum expresses notes of caramelization, marmalade and small notes of dried citrus associated with touches of molasses, mango, fine hints of vanilla as well as very slight hints of cigar, nutmeg, leather and sugar cane (in the background). Good length. Power on the finish.
