Sagrado VT – Grande Reserva 2008 – Douro

The nose is fruity and finely powerful. It reveals notes of crushed blackberry and blueberry associated with a very discreet hint of red berries (in the background) as well as slight notes of toasted oak and sweet spices. The mouth is fruity, well-balanced and offers a beautiful fullness, freshness, suavity, a nice mineral frame, a beautiful fruit as well as a good definition. In the mouth this wine expresses notes of juicy blackberry, cassis and slight hints of blueberry, red berries associated with discreet hints of toasted oak and chocolate. Tannins are slightly dry. Good length and beautiful aromatic persistence with notes of coffee, blackberry and grilled. A beautiful wine!
