Rubinelli Vajol 2013 – Amarone della Valpolicella

The nose is fruity, finely tight and offers a certain deepness. It reveals notes of cassis, lilac, lily, small notes of small acidulous blue berries associated with a touch of juicy/acidulous cherry as well as fine hints of nutmeg, tea, laurel berries, a racy minerality, a very discreet hint of spices and pepper. The palate is fruity, well-balanced, very finely tight and offers minerality, a mineral frame (good minerality), acidulous and a certain juiciness. On the palate this wine expresses notes of bright redcurrant, juicy/acidulous blueberry, small notes of crushed blackberry associated with a touch of violet plum as well as hints of violet, nutmeg, toasted and a very discreet hint of chocolate. Good length.
