Round Pond Estate – Sauvignon Blanc 2016 – Rutherford, Napa Valley 

The nose is fruity and offers a slight freshness as well as a small crunchiness. It reveals notes of crunchy vine peach and ripe / juicy citrus (mandarin, lemon) associated with slight touches of exotic fruits as well as a very discreet hint of rose and apple. The palate is fruity, well-balanced and offers a good definition, an acidulous frame, suavity, gourmandise, a small fat, a small freshness as well as a slight richness / density. On the palate this wine expresses notes of ripe lemon, ripe pink grapefruit, juicy vine peach and small notes of juicy citrus associated with slight touches of quenette, fresh passion fruits as well as a very discreet hint of flowers (in the background) and apple. Good length. There is a very discreet tannic sensation on the finish.
