Roco – Private Stash – No°12 – Pinot Noir 2014 – Chehalem Mountains Wit’s End Vineyard – Oregon

The nose is relatively powerful. It reveals notes of cherry and griotte associated with small notes of plum, spices as well as slight touches of boxwood. The palate is fruity, well-balanced, aerial, silky and offers a beautiful mineral frame, a slight fleshy, freshness as well as a slight tension. In the mouth this wine expresses notes of blackberry jelly, black cherry and small touches of plum associated with hints of strawberry, a subtle hint of jelly raspberry, racy minerality as well as slight touches of chocolate, grilled oak and a subtle hint of coffee. Tannins are well-built. Good length.
