Rocca delle Macie – Riserva di Fizzano 2013 – Single Vineyars – Chianti Classico Riserva

The nose is powerful and relatively gourmand. It reveals notes of cassis cream, blackberry and slight notes of blueberry combined with notes of saline minerality as well as slight notes of toasted wood, vanilla, hints of tobacco and a discreet hint of butter. The palate is fruity, mineral, fluid, sleek, fat and round. In the mouth this wine expresses notes of blackberry, juicy plum and discreet notes of blueberry (in the background) associated with slight notes of licorice, tobacco and a few discreet woody hints. Good length. There is a very discreet hint of salinity and chocolate on the finish / aftertaste.
