Rizzi 2016 – Barbera d’Alba

The nose is fruity, racy and offers power, a beautiful finesse, a beautiful identity, finesse, straightness as well as a very beautiful finesse of the grain. It reveals notes of wild black berries, ripe wild raspberry and small notes of ripe red berries associated with very discreet hints of Sichuan pepper as well as a very discreet hint of toasted and mild tobacco. The palate is fruity, juicy, well-balanced and offers a beautiful tension (full of finesse), a very beautiful definition, suavity, minerality as well as a very beautiful precision. On the palate this wine expresses notes of black cherry, fleshy/juicy raspberry and small notes of fleshy/crunchy wild strawberry associated with fine touches of flowers, liquorice stick. Tannins are fine and elegant. Beautiful juicy and very finely firm persistence.
