The wine shows a bright ruby purple colour. The nose initially is very reductive, smoky, sulphureous, needs air to open up. After aeration it opens up with nuances of black cherries, bramble, a touch of pungent spices, a hint of pencil lead. The palate is juicy and elegant, with delicate structure, refreshing acidity and slightly chalky but suave tannins. The wine is very aerial, light, does not last long. It leaves a pleasant sensation of crunchy red and black cherries with a touch of balsamic and gravelly minerality. Easy-drinking and approachable style.
