Rémy Nodin – Vieille Vigne du Suchat 2018 – Saint-Péray

The nose is elegant, aerial and offers a small toasted/honey side. It reveals notes of crushed Mirabelle, pulpy William pear, small notes of lavender honey associated with touches of small crushed yellow fruits, lemon flowers as well as a subtle hint of sense of the place (local biotope), toasted hazelnut and a very discreet hint of vanilla. The palate is elegante, delicate, beautifully built and offers a beautiful finesse of the fat (surely from lies stirring), gourmandize, delicacy, precision, a good finesse of the grain, fullness as well as a small aerial side in the approach. On the palate this wine expresses notes of pulpy/fresh Mirabelle, small crushed yellow fruits, small notes of William pear associated with touches of apple flowers, verbena, sense of the place (local biotope) as well as hints of yellow apple, physalis, honey, toasted almond and a discreet hint of buttery brioche. Good length. An aromatic persistence with in particular a hint of eucalyptus. Congrats !
