Quinta da Romaneira – Reserva 2010 – Douro

Quinta da Romaneira – Reserva 2010 – Douro

The nose is powerful and relatively elegant. It reveals notes of leather and black fruits associated with a discreet touch of raspberry, slight notes of earth, licorice, pepper and a fine minty note. The palate is fruity, mineral, elegant, well structured, harmonious, relatively gourmand and provides a nicely precise fruit, suavity and a small tension. In the mouth this wine expresses notes of blackberry, crushed Quetsche plum and slight notes of cherry associated with a slight note of fig, a touch of Zan as well as very slight notes of chocolate and blackberry cream on the finish / persistence. Tannins are fine and supple. Good length and persistence.
