The nose is fresh and fruity / juicy. It reveals notes of plum, cassis and slight touches of strawberry, redcurrants associated with slight hints of orange, chocolate, grove, cardamom, slight toasted hints as well as subtle hints of almond ( in the background) and an imperceptible touch of coffee (in the background). The nose is a bit closed. The wine needs to be decanted. The palate is fruity, well-balanced, racy, a bit powerful and offers a fine concentration, a slight juiciness as well as a good density. On the palate this Porto expresses notes of crushed blackberry, fleshy Quetsche plum and small notes of raspberry, fleshy red berries associated with slight touches of coffee, cardamom, almond, toasted oak as well as a very discreet hint of pepper. Tannins are supple. Good length and good persistence.
